Over the course of 2020 and 2021, population and real estate sales trends have confirmed the Central Coast is evolving.

As the bustling beachside hubs of Terrigal and Avoca Beach have shown growth, so too have smaller, lesser-known beachside suburbs further north – including Blue Bay, Toowoon Bay, and Shelly Beach. The calibre of many homes in these areas is exceptional (see these properties in Blue Bay and Toowoon Bay that we sold recently). So, too, are the coffee, shopping, restaurants and experiences on offer in the area.

So, if you’re looking to ‘make the move’ to the Central Coast, or are seeking to invest here, why not consider Blue Bay and its surrounds in your search? We’ve summarised some reasons why below…

1. The beaches are incredible

If you lived in Blue Bay, you would have eleven stunning Central Coast beaches within a ten-minute radius of your home – and they all offer something a little different. North Shelly Beach offers great surfing conditions, Toowoon Bay is patrolled, sheltered and perfect for families. Forresters Beach is picturesque and dog-friendly, while Bateau Bay Beach is abundant with native flora and fauna, right in the heart of Wyrrabalong National Park.

Others include Shelly Beach, Roberts Beach, The Entrance, North Entrance, Tuggerah Beach, Magenta Beach and Blue Bay itself.

2. The coffee is strong and the food is delicious

The northern end of the Central Coast region is full of hidden gems where you can sit, sip and relax. The coffee at Flour & Co. in Toowoon Bay is hard to beat, as are their delicious burritos. Meanwhile, the breakfast fare on offer at The Glass Onion, Green Tangerine or Modern Organic in neighbouring Long Jetty are also incredible. Several iconic Central Coast institutions, such as Burnt Honey Bakery and Il Toscano Pasta Bar have also recently opened stores in the suburb.

3. There are plenty of spots to get active

Finally, the Central Coast is the active family’s paradise. Whether you’re keen to hike one of the regions six National Parks, go for a surf, try a spot of golf at Magenta Shores or Shelly Beach, or cycle around Tuggerah Lakes – there’s something for everyone.

If you love the great outdoors, you’ll be spoilt for choice all year round. The best part? There’s always a beautiful view over the bush, valley or ocean just around the corner.
